IOP Objectives

To shape and monitor the printing industry in Malaysia
To emulate it's parent's activities in the UK and to raise the image and professionalism in the printing industry
To organize seminars and training courses on print technology
Promoting and disseminating knowledge of the technology of printing
Promoting appropriate standards leading to recognized professional competence and increased status of the printing industry
Promoting, organizing and operating cooperative enterprises or commercial undertaking in the Asia Pacific region
Providing information on educational and technical enquiries on the technology of printing
Provide information on statutory and other requirements
Provide and organizing cultural, educational, recreational, social and benevolence for the benefit and welfare of members

Establishing strong links with other organizations and with colleges - both local and abroad
Establishing and carrying out in Malaysia and/or in the Asia Pacific region, training and education centers at or by means of which members of the Institute and students may obtain education, instruction and training particularly in or with regard to the printing industry

Establishing or assisting in the establishment of technical and statistical libraries and to provide copies of parliamentary and departmental reports, official and other papers having reference to the printing industry in Malaysia and other countries in the Asia pacific region, and to collect, classify, tabulate and publish all information which might be circulated to interested members subject to the prior approval of the authority concerned.
Engaging in or undertaking or participating in any agreement, venture, contracts, projects and other such activities that may be for the benefit of the Institute of Printing and/or it's members provided any profit derived there from shall be used to promote the objectives of the Branch and shall not be divided amongst the members.
