The Institute of Printing, United
Kingdom (Malaysia Branch) is part of the professional body
of the Institute of Printing, United Kingdom and it started in
June 1996 when IOP, UK endorsed its formation. On 31st March
1997, the first pro-tem committee was formed to study and
later to approve the draft constitution of the Malaysia Branch
before submission to the Registrar of Societies. The Registrar
of Societies approved the registration of the Malaysia Branch
on 27th February 1997.
The Institute of
Printing, United Kingdom (Malaysia Branch) is the professional
body of the graphic communications industry, from initial
design through to printing and material / equipment supply and
product finishing. Its primary objective is to promote
education and research, at both corporate and individual
levels, which leads to the advancement of professionalism
within the industry. Its head office is in Kent, United
Kingdom and it has branches in UK and overseas. The Institute
has recognized degree courses at various universities and
award Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals annually. The Institute
sets standards in education, training and technical
achievements. It is also involved with other professional
bodies to improve the standard of education within the
printing industry.
IOP, UK (Malaysia Branch)
will emulate its Parent’s activities in the UK. There is a
growing demand for professionalism and the need to gain more
knowledge in printing technology from the graphic, arts,
printing and graphic communication industries. The Institute
is committed to fulfill its objectives by putting its best
efforts to organize seminars and to introduce courses on
printing technology.

industry in Malaysia and around the APAC region.

TRAINING PROGRAMMES The institute has conducted certificate courses as
well as skills and knowledge enhancement seminars for
the benefit of both printing presses and it’s
employees.
